Note: To narrow
search results, please try the following:
- Use more than
one search term. For example, a search for water will
return too many results to be useful.
- Use quotation
marks around a phrase, such as "drinking water treatment," "bottled
water," or "groundwater contamination."
- Use + or -
to require or exclude words from results. For example, searching
for +water -chlorine means that results will include all pages
that contain the word water but not chlorine, while
a search for +water +chlorine will only return pages that have
the words water AND chlorine.
- Uncheck the
"sound-alike matching" box to limit the search to the spelling you
have entered. Sound-alike matching returns words similar to
words you have entered. For example, with sound-alike matching
turned on, a search for "Saint Louis" might return results containing
"Santa Fe." If you are not sure of a spelling or name, sound-alike
matching may help you find what you are looking for.
